Some Things to Think About When Photographing

I'm not an expert photographer, but after reading a few books and articles, as well as taking pictures, I noticed a few things that should be kept in mind

First of all, when you're taking a picture, make sure you are seeing it through the lens, since that is the actual border that you are going to have.
Next, make sure that there aren't any objects obstructing your view or showing up somewhere where you don't want them. For example, you might be taking a picture of a forest seen, and there might be a branch in the picture that is closer to you than what you are shooting. This can look distracting, and it is best to just change the angle, so it will not show up. Also, keep an eye out for power lines, cars, trash or lights that you might not want in your nature shot. These things will become more apparent, as you start shooting.
Another thing to think about is the lighting. Is the image back lit or side lit? What kind of shadows are there? Are there multiple types of light in the frame? How does it effect the color?
Saturation and contrast are also important. Sometimes weather conditions aren't ideal, so maybe the sky looks the same color as the ocean or the grass, or it could be that everything looks lighter than normal. This can be fixed in the editing process, or the pictures could be taken in different light.

Taking pictures is an easy and enjoyable process, and with the right mindset, anyone can acquire amazing results.
